The Consumers, Health, Agriculture and Food Executive Agency is organising, on behalf of the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Health and Food Safety, a cycle of ten training sessions in the field of controls in Mycotoxins and Residues within the Better Training for Safer Food initiative. In total, 155 participants coming from selected non-EU Countries/developing countries will be trained. The seminars will take place in Rome, Madrid, Dublin, Porto/Vila do Conde, Athens, Poznan and Stuttgart in 2019/2020.

The aim of the project is to provide technical assistance in the area of controls in Mycotoxins and Residues. This need is given by the increase in the number of SPS-related trade concerns between the EU and exporting developing countries, by the notifications in the EU Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (RASFF) and the observations made during missions of the Commission inspection service of DG Health and Food safety - Food and Veterinary Office (FVO). These training sessions are addressed to staff of official food testing laboratories in charge of controls of Mycotoxins or Residues. They should all commit themselves to disseminate the knowledge received.
